Looking Back
In early 2000, the dynamic duo of Dr. Girish Rao, a leading Faciomaxillary Surgeon,
and Dr. AnandaKrishna G N, a budding Prosthodontist, jointly set up their exclusive
Implantology practice in Bangalore, India.
In 2005, having successfully rehabilitated hundreds of patients with dental implants, they incepted a
comprehensive Fellowship program of four modules spanning 6 months, imparting hands-on clinical
training in both surgical and prosthetic aspects of Implantology.
In 2010, they subsequently created an Implant Study Group (ISG) that has till date helped over 1000 dental
practitioners from India and abroad share invaluable experiential knowledge for continued professional
development.
Living the Present
In a one-of-a-kind collaboration, the duo joined hands with the Global Healthcare Academy to launch Global Dental Academy inspired by the vision to develop a world-class institution of excellence serving the larger cause of the dental profession by imparting Training and Dental Education for enhancing career development and inculcating the entrepreneurial spirit among dental practitioners.
Looking Ahead
Going forward, GDA will strive to be the definitive academy providing clinical and scientific knowledge to dentists via online and blended learning towards making dental Education accessible, efficient, and effective across the globe.
